Summary: This book API the Tiger of Kanowit is a story on the memoirs of an outstanding local policeman by the name of Dato Lawrence Lim Eng Liong an dedicated officer and gentleman who rose from an Ordinary Constable to become one of the key members of the security forces who played a major role in ending the activities of the Clandestine Communist Organization in Sarawak. A Kampong boy who despite being born to a small Chinese community in the Iban heartland was able to rise above the ordinary and make something of himself as a policeman and an intelligence officer. Greater still, his success in transforming the communist insurgents into God-fearing citizens. He fought the mission on humanitarian grounds. Lawrence greatest contribution was playing a major role in the Sarawak Communist Insurgency culminating with the signing of a Peace Agreement with the final batch of 52 Communist Terrorists on October 17, 1990.
